The Österreichische Gesundheitskasse offers its insured individuals an individual smoking cessation programme in the form of group courses. A group course consists of 6 sessions of 2 hours each and takes place over 6 weeks. The meetings are held once a week in a group of 6 to a maximum of 10 people.
Step by step, participants are accompanied by experienced doctors or psychologists on their individual journey to quitting smoking.
The group courses start with a preparation phase, in which you get to know yourself and your smoking habits better, in order to gradually deal with familiar situations differently. The necessary motivation is fostered in the group, so that insecurities and fears can be overcome and the desire for a new, smoke-free and healthier life can grow.
Here are just a few reasons to quit smoking:
To permanently quit smoking, you will be intensively prepared for the “time afterwards”. As Mark Twain once said: “Quitting smoking is easy. I’ve done it a hundred times.” You have the opportunity to make your personal success visible in each session with a carbon monoxide test in your exhaled breath.
You can find dates in all districts of Carinthia here:
€ 30.00 self-contribution for the entire course, including all materials and an invaluable gain for your well-being.
The remaining costs are covered by the Österreichische Gesundheitskasse as part of the tobacco prevention strategy. Please provide your social insurance number when registering!
If you have any further questions or need information, we would be happy to receive your personal enquiry by phone at 05 78 78 or by email at rauchstopp@bfi-kaernten.at.
